serenity prayer, AA preamble and 12 traditions.

DCM: Kelly – Susie went
to the quarterly on my behalf. Copies of the
handouts she picked up are on the table. The
March Quarterly will be in Buckley. Archives
quarterly will be February 11th.

Visitor – Carol N of Puyallup
District 29 – talked about how huge Public
Information is. She handed out PI literature
and gave a great presentation of what they are doing
in District 29. Thank you Carol!

minutes were read. Jim agreed to be secretary for

and 312th at 9:00 am the PI/CPC quarterly

usually a speaker meeting and Friday is open.
Business meeting is the first Thursday of the month
fifteen minutes prior to the business meeting.
DO IT TOGETHER GROUP –
Jim K – GSR – Not a real strong core group but still
finding new comers. We meet Monday and
Thursday at 8:00 pm.
FRIDAY NITE LIVE – Ron W
– GSR. Meets 8:00 pm every Friday at the 1st
Methodist church in Auburn. Average attendance
30. Have three rooms available for big book,
12 traditions, step study meetings, birthday
meetings are the last Friday of the month. Business

Welcomed new GSR’s Jon, Lisa,
Michelle, and Gary.
DCM: Kelly – On Vacation
ALT DCM: Susie –
Talked about the Area 72- PI Quarterly and CPC with
probation officers plus various upcoming CPC and PI
Events (Possible PI Training for District 32).
SECRETARY: Kathy – On
Vacation. Jim C was also absent so the January
minutes were not read. Bob is taking minutes.
TREASURER: Steve –
Presented budget for Jan-Feb 2006. Lisa had
questions about the large available amount in
budget.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
CPC: Susie A
volunteered and was voted in as district 32 CPC
Chair.
WEBMASTER: - Kathy – On
vacation – no change.

PI report on Area PI and
CPC quarterly was read by Susi A and approved by the

Kevin – Only one bridge last month. Also Kevin
said that he would be stepping down as the chair and

Went over the parameters of what our district
picnic entails.

GROUP REPORTS –
AUBURN ALKIES: Jan – GSR
– Just had 26 birthday dinner. 120 people
came. August will host summer picnic and
campout at Game Farm Wilderness Park. Auburn
will have picnic on Saturday, campfire meeting and
breakfast on Sunday AM.
ANONYMITY AT STEEL LAKE
– Gary H – GSR – Wednesdays at 7:30 – about ten
people. First Wednesday Big Book study, 4th
Step Study, After Last Wednesday birthday and
business meeting on the First Wednesday.
BROWN BAG: Bob – GSR –
Brown Bag still has three coffee maker service
positions and a literature person position open.
Formats are Monday open, Tuesday AA relection,
Wednesday is Big Book study, Thursday usually a
speaker meeting and Friday is open. Business
meeting is the first Thursday of the month fifteen
minutes prior to the business meeting.
FEDERAL WAY FRIDAY NIGHT
– Kevin K – GSR. Meeting splits into Open
Topic, Big Book Study and Step Study meetings.
Average 75 people, five newcomers. Birthday
night last Friday of the month.
FEDERAL WAY HEALTHY WOMEN:
– Lisa B – GSR. Meet from 7:30 – 9:00 pm at
the Good Shepard church on 312th.
Average attendance is 20 people. Business and
birthday last meeting of each month.
FEDERAL WAY WOMEN:
– Donna V – GSR. Meet from 7 –
8:30 pm at Christ Lutheran on 320th.
Many new women joining our group. Average 30
or more. 1st Monday at 6:45
Business Meeting – Split into Big Book Study and
Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions meeting.
Last Monday of the month is a Birthday meeting.
Maintain a scholarship fund to help send women to
conferences.
FRIDAY NITE LIVE – Ron W

Methodist church in Auburn. Average attendance
30. Have three rooms available for big book,
12 traditions, step study meetings, birthday
meetings are the last Friday of the month. Business

ONE WAY GROUP – Lisa D –
GSR – Monday at 8:00 pm. I am new to
Washington State – this group is very small. I
have seen attendance of 10 – 20 per week.
Funds are not usually available for rent.
Group needs support. Birthday meeting tends to
be largest meeting – this is a discussion meeting on
the Last Monday of the Month.
WOMEN IN RECOVERY – –
GSR – Our meeting gets a lot of newcomers.
There is a nice amount of more of sobriety too.
They do offer childcare and the birthdays are
celebrated on the first Thursday of each month.
Topics from the group come from a sign up sheet
weekly. Average attendance is around 20 to 30
people.

OPENING: Opened with the

DCM: Kelly – Thank you
to Susie for filling in while I was on vacation.
May 15th Gail H the Alternate Area
Delegate and Ernie M past Delegate will be coming to
our district to put on a Third Legacy presentation.
This will be a 45 minute presentation.
Passed out and discussed Pre
Conference hand outs. There will be an April
first report back at the Area Quarterly. Kathy
will mail out some of the literature.
Reminder that the Western
Washington Area Assembly will be October 6, 7 and 8th
in Tacoma. GSR’s should attend so start
talking to groups about funding. We will also
vote for our district elected offices in October.
New GSR school to be held April
29th – more information to follow on
that.
Picnic area is reserved for
Sunday July 16th from 3 – 8 pm at Five
Mile Lake. The cost is $105.00 to be
reimbursed by district. The Alano club is
looking for support. They are experiencing low
attendance.

ALT DCM: Susie –
Attended the Pre Conference and attended a District
33 business meeting. Went for CPC information
and liked the way they read the GSR responsibility
statement. Bill W said GSR’s have the most
important position. Judy made a motion to read
the GSR responsibility statement in addition to what
we already read at the beginning of the business
meetings. Wayne 2nd. Motion
passed.
SECRETARY: Kathy –
Minutes were read and with a couple of noted
exceptions Susie made a motion to accept the
minutes, Jim 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER: Steve –
Brought copies of budget. Take back to groups
and then bring back. Our current balance is $
2,102.14.Discussion took place about sending money
up also to increase the prudent Reserve to $800.00 –
It was decided to wait because we have CPC/PI
expenses, Web expenses, Quarterly expenses and new
positions filled within the district. Kathy made a
motion to accept the treasurers’ report, Michelle 2nd.
Motion passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
CPC: Susie – I
have signed up to go to “Take a Professional to
Lunch” with District 29 in May. I hope to be
able to do this in District #32 in September.
Jean Paul and I attended the District Meeting Last
Tuesday for District #33. Their CPC Chair Mike
V. is assisting me with getting this going in our
district. I am requesting $183.65 to provide
racks, literature and books for PI/CPC in our
District. My plan is to contact several key
areas in our district (Police Dept, Mental Health,
Health Care, DHSH, High School Counselor Office
etc…) and see if there is an interest in this
information. If so, my plan is that District
32 place these and then ask Home Groups to keep them
up. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

$200.00 for the CPC/PI literature request.

Birthdays:
DCM: Kelly – Have new
flyers – take some and make copies for your groups.
April 30th we will
have the new GSR workshop at Intergroup from noon
until 4:00 pm. We will discuss the GSR
responsibilities
There is an Ad Hoc Committee
questionnaire – Take the questions back to your
groups or answer from your experience and email to
the committee.
Friday night Auburn Group will
be holding their annual potluck at Main & N Streets
– United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm. Doors
open at 6:00 pm.
I attended the Zone meeting and
gave a district report.
Have forms for Area Assembly –
you will want to talk to your groups now to arrange
financing.
Have been paying for the
Website at iHost Network with my credit card.
Need to be reimbursed $ 49.75 for October – April at
$ 9.95/month.
I spoke to Gary and he
suggested we have the tribal committee come to CPC
meetings (Susie will call Paul and Cecie to arrange)

attended the District 33 meeting at the Intergroup
office, it is held the first Wednesday of the month
at Intergroup. I met the new district PI chair

again. May 3 speaking to Non AA groups workshop.
Attended a PI workshop at Burien little assembly
anonymity was the big topic.
Promotion vs. attraction. Carol had 14 PI reps
in Puyallup at the Traditions workshop last
Thursday. May 13th is the next PI
Quarterly. Kevin made a motion to accept the
report, Susie 2nd, motion passed.

COMMITTEE – Kathy- We won the bid for the
quarterly, I am passing a list around for people to
sign up for the committee. I am the Chair,
Kelly has been looking into the church so we will
keep him as facilities but we will need greeters,
food, coffee, registration, flyers and committees
like that to prepare for the committee. We
want to hold this committee around a barbeque at our
house to make it fun – the date to be announced.

Birthdays:
THIRD LEGACY PRESENTATION: Gail H. and
Ernie M. put on a presentation for the district describing the structure of
AA and its third legacy of Service. It was a great presentation!
Thank you Ernie and Gail.
Susie made a motion to pay Ernie and Gail $20.00 for
gas, Lisa 2nd. Motion passed.
DCM: Kelly – Brought copies of Handbook that I
brought for GSR school – Each GSR may take one if they did not attend the
school. Have a receipt of 152.00 for the cost to be reimbursed. We
will have a quick meeting for the Picnic committee after the District
meeting tonight. Have flyers out in the paper room, take some and make
copies for your groups. Kathy made a motion to accept the report, Bob

and filled all the positions for the Committee. Will meet again on
June 3, to review status. Still plenty to do so show up if interested.

has been growing in numbers and participation. About 2/3 are young in
sobriety and/or court or treatment center ordered. The sharing is
usually powerful and solution oriented.

is still very sporadic. Small core of 5 people. Meet Monday and
Thursday at 8PM at the Light of Christ Church in Federal Way.
FEDERAL WAY FRIDAY NITE: Kevin K – GSR.
Group is strong. Big Book Study, Step Study and open meeting every
Friday except the last Friday of the month which is Birthday night.
FEDERAL WAY MENS STAG (Monday): Jon K –
GSR. Continuing the Joe and Charlie tapes. Meet at 6:30 at the
Church of Christ. 15 average attendance.
FEDERAL WAY MENS STAG (Tuesday): Jim C –
GSR. BBQ Picnic for the Last Tuesday of this month (30th) at 6:00 pm –
Open to families with a meeting at 7:00 pm.
FEDERAL WAY SUNDAY STEP: Wayne O – GSR.
Work through the Steps out of the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions book.
Also break off into another meeting for additional step or topic. Last
Sunday of the month is Birthday night and we share our experience. Coming
soon: An open room for a Big Book Study each week except birthday

FEDERAL WAY Women: Donna V – GSR.
Federal Way Women will be holding their fifth annual clothes swap and
potluck on June fifth. Clothes swap at 5pm. Bring your clean,
wearable clothing. Take some home! The clothes not picked up
will be taken to a women’s rehab center. Potluck at 6pm followed by a
meeting at 7pm. Also, we had a volunteer to collect names for bridging
the gap.
FRIDAY NITE LIVE: Ron W – GSR. Meets 8:00
pm every Friday at the 1st Methodist church in Auburn.
Average attendance 30. Have three rooms available for big book, 12
traditions, step study meetings, birthday meetings are the last Friday of
the month. Business meeting is after the break on the third Friday.
Friday April 21 we will share the meeting facilities with the Auburn Group
for their anniversary potluck.
ONE WAY GROUP: Lisa D – GSR – Monday at 8:00 pm.
This is a closed meeting except the last Monday of the month which is the
birthday meeting and also business meeting.
WHITE RIVER GROUP: Judy M – GSR – I have just
recently been elected as the GSR for the group. We meet Thursday

is our District Picnic. I ordered 1000

Paul and I have met twice to go over CPC and PI
information, timing and training. We are going
to change the TAPL to mid October or the first part
of November. We have discussed several
restaurants to contact about conference type rooms,
have been reviewing information from the Area and
GSO and thought Oct. or Nov. would be a better time
to get school counselors in etc… I have
someone who will be making up the folders for us.
This Thursday I will be at the
Washington Conventions Center with CPC for Area 72.
The National Convention for Drug Court and Parole
officers is being held and AA has been invited to
participate. We have a booth and lots of
material available. I am very excited about
it. Will report more next month on that.

BRIDGING THE GAP: Lisa –
I had a couple of bridges this past
month. People don’t know what to do at the
group level. It might be good to have the area
chair come present to our district. Wayne made

volleyball. Starts at 3:00 on July 16, 2006.
Harry will be the cook again. Horseshoes,

bring. Parking to the north past the ranger
station. Don’t park on the main road.

The Brown bag meeting has been growing so rapidly
that the church is considering building a new
structure to accommodate us as well as church
functions. The majority of the group is court
or treatment ordered, but as participation and
sharing is at an all time high. Plus, all
service positions are filled. I enjoy this
meeting and attend it most days.

Wayne O – GSR. We started the Big Book study
in our meeting. So now we have three rooms for
fellowship. On July 30th we will
having the fourth annual barbeque/potluck and it’s
also July birthday night. Starts at 6pm prior
to the birthday meeting. Our attendance has
increased to 50 to 60 people. Our service
positions change July 2nd.

We had the district picnic yesterday. Good
turnout, good time. September 18th
Tommy the Accessibility Chair will give a
presentation to our district about the accessibility
committee. Mike brought a copy of the flyer
for the Delegates Report which will be held at
Intergroup on July 26th at 7:00 pm.
I brought in newly printed schedules. The
Pre-assembly will be held on the 20th of
August at 1:30. We will cover the motions and
have mock elections so that GSR’s are prepared for
Western Washington Area Assembly. Kelly made a
motion to send $ 50.00 to the hosting district and
Michelle 2nd. Motion passed.
We went to the quarterly. I am passing around
the treasure’s report flyer about increase
donations, more pre-assemblies, All these flyers
should be on the area website. Flyers for
Quarterlies, PI, CPC, etc… Support the Friday Harbor
Grapevine Literature Quarterly September 9th.
There will be a PI information booth at the Monroe
Fair again. Steve made a motion to submit
$50.00 to the PI committee for the booth, Jim 2nd.

Sponsorship Workshop. Phyllis Holiday – Part
of the Native American forum held in May hops to

use different methods for raising funds. We

groups should pay for attendance. The South End
Bookstore is moving September 5th to the

Started with introductions around the room. Passed out flyers and letter
from GSO. Announced “Graduated Dinner” and that he
had flyers and tickets. Other announcements
included: Seattle Intergroup need for phone people
for the night watch, PI workshop at intergroup Dec
30th, Sharing in Sobriety, women's retreat in Jan,
South End bookstore move and need for volunteers.
Passed out schedule for West Wash Area Assemble, Oct
6,7 & 8. Passed out service manuals, last months meeting
minutes and updated phone list.

Jean Paul
said speakers were good and another similar event was
going to be presented in Seattle
next month. Auburn High School contacted Jean
Paul, via letter, about speaking to Health
Class and indicated that 6 people were needed and
contacted Donna P. October’s “Association of
Medical Colleagues (CPC event) was looking for help
and related a need
to education for Doctors about the awareness of AA
and alcoholics. Motion to except made, 2nd and
passed.
Tommy S. guest speaker Area Chairperson
for Accessibility arrived, spoke to group and
answered questions. October 31st in Vancouver, Wa is
a Accessibility Workshop. Group gave Tommy gas money
by Jim c motion, Bob 2nd and passed.
Larry A - Corrections
Larry attended the dist 22, 55 Corrections Quarterly in Port
Angles, which was Larry’s 2nd
quarterly. The workshops stressed a need for
standardized clearances for people volunteering at
various correctional facilities. Called for people
from Dist 32 for help, especially young people.
Kelly asked Larry to make flyer pertaining to help
at the Regional Justice Center and bring to next
meeting. Larry will be speaking as Dist 32
Corrections rep at the Auburn Alocies, 7:30 on
Sunday (9/24). Gary made motion to except report,
Steve 2nd and passed.
Michelle - Bridging the Gap
Michelle said she had left a phone message with a “Bridging
the Gap” signup member.

Kelly announced that next month a meeting date will be made

CPC: Susie – This month
I have visited the police department in Federal Way
and received permission to leave a schedule of our
meetings in their display. Federal Way Sunday Step
will commit to check on those regularly and refill
as needed. I made contact with St Francis Hospital
and was able to leave AA approved flyers for their
Social Services Department. They will contact me if
more is needed. They were grateful to have local
meeting schedules. I have literature, with a
meeting schedule, for GSR’s to give to group members
who might be comfortable giving these to their
clergy. Call me for further questions. On October
29th I am scheduled to participate with
the American Medical National convention at the
convention center downtown. CPC has a booth and I
have a four hour time slot to be available to answer
questions and offer literature as needed. Donna

are required to give free air time for public
announcements. Ron made a motion to accept the

WEBMASTER: Kathy –
Preparing everything to turn over to the new
Webmaster in January. Mike R will use his card for
the Domain name beginning in January. Steve made a
motion to accept the report, Susie 2nd,
motion passed.
PI: Jean Paul – Worked
booth at the American Medical School Convention.
They said they were building the medical school
curriculum. Vicky does a road show on Promotion vs
Attraction – groups in our district would benefit by
this. Got an inquiry from Riverside. Donna at
Inter group got a teacher Sunday, Monday and
Tuesday. Ran through what AA is and what it isn’t.
The first class was alive the second was not so
lively. Wayne made a motion to accept the report,
Donna 2nd, motion passed.
GRAPEVINE AND LITERATURE:
Jim C – Met with Jerry – put my name back on the
mailing list. Kelly will push a Literature rack to
Jim. We got a free display panel. Jim will be
attending the next quarterly. Susie made a motion to
accept the report, Mike R 2nd, motion
passed.
BRIDGING THE GAP:
Michelle – Make sure you put your age on the BTG
signup sheet. There are people concerned about who
is being sent to be with their younger bridges.
Tell people not to be discouraged if they do not get
called right away – we only get a few calls at
times.
2007 QUARTERLY HOST
COMMITTEE – Kathy- We are progressing nicely and
are on track. We will go with Azteca at $7.95 per
person. Need to give them a ballpark figure two
weeks before the event and then again a final count
3 days prior to the event.

ANONYMITY AT STEEL LAKE:
Gary – GSR – Good meeting. First Wednesday is the
business meeting. Last Wednesday Birthday meeting.
Rotating step meeting sometimes into a tradition
study. First Wed, Big Book Study, Read chapter,
discuss and share – small meeting solution focused.
Could use support.
AUBURN ALKIES: Michelle
– GSR – Had our Gratitude Dinner November 19th
had three speakers. About 175 people came. We had
a children’s craft table set up with lots of takers.
BROWN BAG: Bob H – GSR –
For some unknown reason attendance has fallen off
with the weather just as we had a 25 % rent
increase. Money is becoming a big concern as of
late, however we will find a way. Brown Bag is a
very important staple meeting for many people.
DO IT TOGETHER: Patrick
W – Small meeting – could use some help. Tell
people we are small and intimate. We meet Monday
and Thursday at 8:00 pm at the Light of Christ
Lutheran church.
FEDERAL WAY MENS STAG
(Tuesday): Jim C – GSR. Monthly Birthdays,
Weekly chair, closed meeting (men’s stag) open
topic. We had a Gratitude dinner on 11/11 Speakers
were Anita S and Rick A.
FEDERAL WAY TUESDAY STEP:
Tracy H – GSR. This is a great meeting. This will
be my last month as GSR. Due to new GSR.
FEDERAL WAY SUNDAY STEP:
Wayne O – GSR. Had our 4th Annual
Gratitude Potluck – it went off great. November 19th
we had two speakers from Orting and about 100 people
in attendance. All positions are open for rotation.
FEDERAL WAY WOMEN:
Donna V – GSR. A great women’s group. We held our
gratitude dinner on November 13th
followed by a speakers meeting. Great food and
fellowship!
FRIDAY NITE LIVE: Ron W
– GSR. Normally we have three rooms available. One
continuing progressive Big Book Study, other rooms
vary in meeting topic. In December we will have a
‘Candle Light Meeting’.
HEALTHY WOMEN: Jonni G
– GSR Gratitude dinner was November 12th.
Two women speakers. Attendance was approximately 60
people. Very successful!
SOBER ON SATURDAY:
Michael G – GSR- We do a Big Book study, covering
all the way to chapter “Alcoholic Number Three”. We
celebrate birthdays the last Saturday of the month.
