GROUP REPORTS –
Friday Night Federal Way Group: Kevin K GSR
– We have a general topic meeting, a Step Study and
a Big Book study every week except birthday night which
is the last Friday of the month.
December 10th was our groups 1st
annual Gratitude/Holiday Potluck Dinner and it was a
great night. Close to 75 people showed up and we probably
hit 100 for the meeting.
We had service elections last week and all new people
took over all positions except a couple we don’t have
filled at all.
Federal Way Mens Stag – Tuesday – Jean–Paul
– GSR, Kelly G Alt GSR – Open discussion. We average
30-35 men with 1-2 newcomers. Birthdays are celebrated
at the end of the month with cookies every week. We
are going to the T-Birds game Jan 29 2005. The group
has great sobriety ranging from a few days to 20 years.
Also we filled all positions last Tuesday.
Brown Bag Group – Susie A – GSR – Steady attendance
with lots of attendance slips. Great place to find
a newcomer to sponsor. We have lots of newcomers that
are seeking a sponsor but there are not enough core
members to sponsor them all. Our prudent reserve was
mistakenly split to the GSO, WW area 72 etc last October.
We will be able to send out splits in February.
Federal Way Tuesday Night Step Study
– The GSR was not in attendance, Luke gave report –
New positions rotated in along with Josh R for the new
GSR. Happy to see new faces in service!
Auburn Group – Kenneth G. GSR - This meeting
has birthday meetings on the last Friday, Saturday morning
and Saturday night of the month at which coins are presented
and cake is served. The business meeting was held on
the third Wednesday of the month and the GSR report
was not given due to the fact that the GSR meeting was
held after the business meeting. Our meeting has a
good balance of sobriety and a loving atmosphere to
all that join us. I feel all are genuinely welcomed
and received well. We have quite a few of our new comers
that stick around for the first year.
New Kent Fellowship – Ned T. GSR
– We are still making just enough money during seventh
traditions to cover rent, and literature. We are looking
for more support from people with time especially for
new comers. We have a speakers meeting on the third
Saturday of the month at 7 pm with fantastic speakers.
Birthday meeting is the last Saturday of the month at
7pm – come celebrate birthdays with us!
Freedom in Sobriety – Bill W. GSR – We’ve closed
down another restaurant. WE are currently looking for
a new meeting place. The second and third weeks of
January we met at the Old Country Buffet and Diamond
Jim’s. We continue to have strong attendance and good
representation for service work. Our core home group
membership is around 20 and we usually have between
12 – 15 home group members attending on average.
Federal Way Sunday Step – Wayne O GSR
– February we start at the beginning of the 12 Steps
and 12 Traditions. We just rotated our service positions.
Auburn Alkies – Jan S GSR; Michelle Alt GSR – After
opening we break into three groups rotating Big Book
Study, Rotating Step Study and almost always a meeting
for the first step. We have many years of continuous
sobriety here. There is a lot of sponsoring here also.

year Anniversary Potluck her on February 13th
Open at 5:30 pm. Serve Dinner at 6:00 pm. Speakers

pay for catering and other costs. I attended the
Pre-Assembly yesterday. There is another one
August 20th at 1 PM in Port Angeles, one the
27th in Bonney Lake, there will be another on
the 28th in Lacy. We had agreed to pay
the hosting district 50 $ for our Pre-Assembly however
they believe it will be a lot less and plan to send an
email with all the detail of the cost for reimbursement.
They held GSR school yesterday.
Sunday September 25th they will hold another
GSR school in Mount Vernon, also on October 1 at Port
Townsend. Next month we will go over what
will happen at the assembly. I will be presenting
the Digital Archives @AAGrapevine.org Friday 3:00 – 3:50
in room one.
I plan to visit groups in our
district that are not participating in our monthly
meetings in an attempt to get positions filled.
Also plan to talk about the Website. We have new
flyers and phone lists on the table. I won the
Ocean Shores trip that the Intergroup Picnic raffled off
with the badges. Jim made a motion to accept the
report – Jean Paul 2nd. Motion passed.

expenses in October. Susie will split the cost
with the group as GSR and the difference in cost to the
district. Luke made a motion to accept the report,
Bill 2nd. Motion passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
WEBMASTER: - Luke – Next Month is
the last meeting. I will not be in Federal Way.
We need a Webmaster. It takes about 2 hours at
most per month. The duties include uploading new
minutes, change contact information and anonymous email
information. Six months or more of sobriety
recommended. It was created in Dream weaver but
don’t need it costs about $367.00 for the software.
The person must have HTML experience. Must have a
credit card – can use Kelly’s. Luke will look for
service that will allow prepay. I will put Steve S
to DCM for email inquiries since Steve does not prefer
to use email. Kathy made a motion to accept the
report, Jean Paul 2nd. Motion passed.
PI: - Jean Paul – Attended
the PI Quarterly. It was amazing and great to be
with others. There is a bus project to raise money
for. They want to put a sign up in Pierce County
busses about “What you drink and when you drink is your
issue – When you want to stop it is ours”. We may
get involved with it. For getting details out
there about $1,400.00 for six months. They have
had great success in Seattle with the Bus advertisements
and we will get more information. I checked with
the Libraries and none have Big Books. At the
quarterly I learned it is one of the most stolen books
from Libraries. I will look into donating more.
PI trained alcoholics are doing PI in the schools.
One district has an amazing letter from the Physical Ed
teacher and the principle at schools they have attended
as recommendation for the positive outcome of the
presentations. One PI rep sends them out to
schools with a letter. I am planning to attend a

Hello all, sorry I
couldn't be there to give my report, but I had to go

sorry for me, let's tell you
what is going on with the PI Committee.
1) District 32 attends the Puget Sound Suicide
awareness Day. It was held at Federal Way Memorial
Stadium on Sunday September 4th. Due to
the Labor Day holiday, the turnout was low, but
there were about 150 people commemorating lost
relatives and friends. It was very moving as
everybody made laps around the track and stopped at
the various booths.
We had several people stop at our table and thank us
for being there to support this important cause.
After an hour they had singing and speakers and then
wrapped things up.
2) High School workshops- Next panel is at Sumner
High on December 7th for 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. I will
need to attend a Traditions workshop put on by the
Puyallup district.
3) PI Quarterly Meeting- District 32 will be the
host for the February Meeting. I am still firming up
a venue.

Discussion took place about the Treatment Committee
being responsible to bring information back to the
groups from the Quarterlies, also between Seattle

that could also be a part of the Treatment position
if the Bridge the Gap position is not filled.

treasurer.
