DCM -   7 Conference Items titles were reviewed for the Pre-Conference.  A few hard copies were handed out.

Attendance to March 17th pre-assembly by GSRs strongly asked. Dist32 will take Item 2 to the Pre-Conference with Will F. and Robert P presenting thier research.  GSRs are asked to get group concious’s on all topics for email submission to Debbie A upon request.  BLA is coming up week after PRAASA, busy March.

ALT DCM  -   Dan P. – Still working on District 32 list for Area Registrar.  Please contact Dan.  Report accepted.

TREASURER  Currently as of the end of 2011 $2077 in bank, which is $200+ below prudent reserve.  Dist 32 currently has expenditures exceeding income.  Itemized report is available to see which groups are supporting as well as all expenditures.  Made storage unit rent and automatic monthly deduction from our account. Discussed the possibility of getting rid of the storage unit, and its $51/mon.  Report accepted.

CPC – Not Present. 

P.I.   Mike R. – New in position.  Attended quarterly and got a good body of information on position.  Also noted that we only have 2 racks out in the field, UW Medicine and one in Fed Way.  Will be soliciting individual groups in the future for support in establishing an active P.I. program.   Mikes on fire!! Report accepted.

Webmaster – Wayne O.  Not Present.

Accessibility – Will F. – Contact Will if you have anybody in your groups that may have special needs  help.  Also if your group has any type of accessibility suggestions Will is open to receiving that information.  Will also has liturature, and cassetts that he can help in obtaining.   Report accepted.

G.V.L.  OPEN POSITION  John M has requested to step down from GVL position.  Please solicit your groups for filling this position.  Report accepted.

Treatment – Dwayne S. – Working a meeting at Sound Mental Health.  Looking for someone to come in once a month and give thier exp, strength and hope 10 a.m. on a Wednesday.  Perferebly 2 years sobriety or more.  Dwayne is willing to receive willing folks to line up for a solid backlog.  Will F., Bob H., and Jason K provided thier numbers.  Report Accepted.

One Way – Scott L – Group doing well.  Have one chair/one secretary.  Chair picks topic.

Auburn Group – Robert P. – 48th anniversary dinner coming up on 4-21-12 at Zion Church (where meeting is usually held) at 5pm.  AA speaker, Alanon, Alateen speakerts, potluck.  Meeting attendance is steady.

Federal Way Women – Sheila C. -  Our business meeting consisted of discussing what the service position duties are and how to best communicate what they are to the new incoming service person.  Our meeting is doing well, newcomers are staying.  A few have expressed how our meeting is warm and they feel welcome.

Auburn Alkees – Dale B.  Treasure: Split will be accomplished soon as well as a BLA contribution.  GSR report given.  Intergrp:  Having meeting tomorrow, has been better attendance especially from the FedWay grps, cork board is up and being used, bring flyers.  Liturature: No BB’s left for sale, will pick 2 up this Thur & 2 12x12s, rack is good, going to print some Dist schdls.  Old Business:  Anniv potluck in Feb, grp will provide beverages, Sunday 12th, may pass pink can, need flyers, service table next week, camp sites have been rezerved and all is going as planned.

Committee Reports

DCM -   Bob H. – March has been a busy month.  We had aprx 9 Dist 32 members show up to the Pre-Conference.  BLA was strong as usual.  Bob has been attempting to get DCM reports turned in for the Area Newsletter and hopes to get it in for April.  Bob & Dan are planning attending the Assembly Quarterly coming up in Vancouver.  GSRs are welcome to attend.   Bob has notes from the PRAASA DCM round table if anyone wishs to read them.  He may forward them via email.  Bob asked for GSRs to please keep up on received emails.  Next years PRAASA will be in Boise Idaho.  Report accepted.

ALT DCM  -   Dan P. –  Dan reflected on PRAASA and it’s round table, the Pre-Conference.  Shared his recognition that financial situations have been a common mention at several of them, and he wished to express this to the group.  Report accepted.

TREASURER  Tony H. -  Started with $400 got $10 last meeting, as well as Fed Way Women’s grp donation.  Paid some bills $300 ending balance.  May likely need to consider a means to raise funs for the annual Dist32 picnic.  Report accepted.

CPC – Jason K. -  Jason spoke with Mark, our Area CPC, at the Pre-Assembly.  He got some structure on how to proceed with his CPC duties, and has his eye on the quarterly. and filled out a committee update form.  Welcome aboard Jason! Report accepted. 

P.I.   Mike R. – Has identified rack locations and will be filling them soon.  Will be placing a rack at the Muckleshoot recovery center.  Requested that GSRs take to their groups the suggestion of “adopting” a rack in their area.  GSRs seemed to respond well to this request and asked Mike several questions.  Report accepted.

Webmaster – Wayne O. – Has rearanged the front page of the site so that the print is a bit bigger, as well as placement of the links.  Also placed a link to Pierce Cnty.  Wayne has many copies available for us of the new schedule, which includes 8 new groups for the district.  Also, please email .pdf and or word documents of any upcoming goup events. Will place committe report form in the “useful forms” section of the website.  Report accepted.  Sumitted Report:  ALL GROUPS NEEDING TO POST THERE POTLUCKS AND ACTIVITIES, EMAIL ME A PDF OR WORD DOC SO I CAN POST THEM.  New District 32 Schedules are available on the website for printing. Would like to remind the GSR’s of removing OLD district schedules from their literature racks, this could be misleading to the newcomer if he or she get one with wrong information.

I am still updating the Area 72 District Meeting Schedules. I will be updating the website this weekend (end of March).  The Front Page of the Website looks a little Different, I made it easier to find the Schedule when you first look at it. I have also made a link to the Pierce County Intergroup office so If you find yourself in Tacoma and needing a meeting the schedule is easy to find.

G.V.L.  James  W.  was elected as our new GVL and filled out a committee update form.  Welcome James!

Treatment – Dwayne S. – Soliciting speakers for Sound Mental Health.  The speaker for last week went really well, and the facility co-ordinator was really pleased.  Dwayne also made it to PRAASA and Bridging the Gap functions and gained much information at familiarization of what other Treatment committees are doing, and will be drawing off thier actions.  Report Accepted.

Old Business

2013 WWA Assembly – We are still co-hosting and DCM and Alt are attending committee meetings.

Pre-Conferences -  There are still a couple scheduled so those who did not make our districts may attend them.  Jason K. relayed positive feedback on his attendance last week and his impression of the information and event.

New Business

Reality Center – Will be moving to Enumclaw in May.

School Programs - Jean Paul discussed the school program with our new CPC and P.I. regarding panel members for the schools.  2 more panels currently scheduled at Decater and Todd Beammer and then the new committee persons need to take the reigns.  There was lots of open descussion between Jon Paul, Jason and Mike.

District 32 Inventory – Bob handed out the inventory form and asked the GSRs to review it and we will have a mediator attend.  The group chose October as the month for our inventory.

Group Reports

Just4Today Speaker Meeting – Wayne O. - Meeting is going strong with consistence of 125-145 people attending.   We have been rotating our larger donations to District, Intergroup, Area, & GSO This is a very healthy meeting.  We did have trouble for the first couple months this year getting people to commit to helping

set up the meeting, ALL help is appreciated and needed.

One Way – Scott L – Group doing well.  Chair picks a reading from AA liturature and shares topic for the night.  We have a new chair secretary.

Auburn Group – Robert P. – 48th anniversary dinner coming up on 4-21-12.

FedWay Women In Recovery – Kim D. -  Strong, Supportive, Solution based group!

Bottles Empty – Garrett B. – the meeting is growin and we may have money to give to the higher levels of service soon.

Federal Way Friday Night Meeting – Jason K. - Went over Pre-Conference topics on 3/23/12. There we four home group members in attendance. I will give another opportunity for other home groups to voice their opinions on 4/06/12

Committee Reports

DCM -   Bob H. –  WOW, crazy month. Just got back from the Quartly with our alternate Dan P.  Several motions which will be coming down before the pre-assembly, in Octobor.  Pre conference items submittals were due today, to the Area Delegate, Debbit A.  She leaves for NY tomorrow.  Passed around some Area reports and a finacial report, for year to date.  Flyer for the next quarterly are on the back table, as well as on our website.  Also available there are committee quarterlys.  Bob went thru several other flyers he picked up from the quarterly.  Assembly registration is also going to be available for the Oct Assembly, on-line and payable thru paypal.  Bob set up a non profit EIN tax number.  The Area will be providing $500 seed money for this.  Report accepted.

ALT DCM  -   Dan P. –  Ask new GSRs to fill out nessecary paperwork for him to fullfill his registrar duties and get thier packet in the works.  Shared that District 18 wants to do a GSR pre-school around Feb of 2013.  Also discussed district hand books being available for the GSRs.  Dan and Wayne verified, on the spot, that it is on the District website.  Dan also passed around a print out of the Area Registers database of our district for the GSRs to update and verify any information.    Report accepted.

SECRETARY – Dale B. - Send reports to email or hardcopy.  Please remember to sign in.  Strongly suggested GSRs attend any of the awsome GSR Pre-Schools when they are offered.  Report accepted.

TREASURER  Tony H. -  Provided copys of the treasurer report and offered a verbal review.  We have only $150 in the bank.  Bottom line,,, we are HURTING!  Asked that all GSRs diseminate this information to their groups.  Bob re-itterated this.  Our mailing address is provided at the bottom of the GSR report forms.  Tony then handed out many receipts.  Report accepted.                                                                                                                           

 CPC – Jason K. -  Has received his GSR packet.  Jason also spoke with Jon Paul and is steadily moving forward on attempting to make a smooth transition from prior CPC efforts and actions.   Report accepted. 

P.I.   Mike R. –  Has established and stocked a rack and literatures at the Muckleshoot reservation, and two librarys in Federal Way.  Will also be putting one in the Auburn library after it’s remodel.  Mike is putting together a flyer for GSRs to take to thier groups in regards to sponsoring racks in their area.  The flyers will provide such things as initial costs and requested responsibilities.  He picked up some awsome “book marks” from intergroup that have great local contact information.  Positive reaction from the GSRs on the floor in regards to group rack sponsoring.  The floor suggested possibly providing Big Books for the librarys.  Report accepted.

Webmaster – Wayne O. – Has only received one flyer this month, from the Auburn Grp for their anniversary potluck.  Wayne also informed any committee members that there is also a committe report form, hard copy and electronic for committee report submissions.  Flyers should be getting updated in May.   Report accepted.

Accessibility Will F. – Got ahold of John and Jennifer about def and ASL interpretures.  Pass It On on Thur night has an ASL person possibly available.  Will submitted to the floor that he set up for Jennifer to come to our District meeting as a guest and present us with ASL information.  The group seemed positive on this and Will is going to schedule this.  Please contact Will with any other accessibility needs that their groups may need.  Report accepted.

G.V.L.  James  W. -  James is getting information for attending the GVL quarterly.  He received some GVL report liturature and shared it with the group.  Financial, staff, and Ebook updates.   Report accepted.

 Treatment – Dwayne S. –   Last week Garrett shared at Sound Mental Health that was well received.  Jason did the same the week before.  Had a share there that went really well in regards to how to get a sponsor.  Still running the Monday meeting down there on Mondays from 1-2.  A couple GSRs will be getting with Dwayne after the meeting to schedule with him for participation.  Dwayne is working with Randy to secure other treatment centers to work with as well.  Jason offered his assistance in contacting the Muckleshoot treatment center.  Wayne offered that he has heard that SeaMar is often hurting for female participation.  Michelle reflected on her AA exposure during her time at Lakeside Milam in Auburn from Treatment committe efforts at that time.  Lots of GSR interaction with Dwayne during open discussion.  Report Accepted.

ArchivesGarrett B.The quarterly is coming up on May 5th and Garrett is planning on attending, even though Van Halen will be in town.  He is in the works of aquiring the keys to our storage facility.  Garrett will have more to provide next month.  Report accepted.

Bridging The Gap - Randy W.-  Still need more female participants for fascilitation with this committee.  All GSR Ladies present offered their numbers and support.  A flyer or some sort of sign up sheet was requested for GSRs to take to their groups.  Wayne informed the group that there is a useable form on the website that can be printed out.  Michelle will be making copies of a provided form to bring next month for the GSRs to take back to their groups.  Report accepted.

Old Business

ALL CHAIRS ARE FULL!!!

District Inventory - Bob reflected on the Area’s inventory taken during the quarterly.  The format was somewhat different.  Steve, our Area Archivist has been secured to facilitate our inventory in October.

2013 WWA Assembly – We are still co-hosting and DCM and Alt are attending committee meetings.

Reality Center – Will NOT be moving to Enumclaw as previously rumored.  They will be moving to south Auburn in the beginning of June.

New Business

Storage Unit - $55 a month that we do not have right now.  We need to make sure this stuff is secured preferrably in a climate controlled enviroment.  The floor suggested that we contact a neighboring District about combining and sharing a storage unit.  Or possibly finding a smaller option.  Garrett will do some investigation and report back next month.

District Picnic – Seriously in jeapordy.  This needs to be discussed in depth next month.  Potluck, raffle, committee establishment.  Please take this information to your groups and inform them that this function is in serious possibility of not happening.  Many GSRs shared that they had taken this information to their home groups and shared such responses reflecting that some splits were increased already and favorable response to the possibility of a potluck format.  Michelle B. offered to head a picnic committee.

FedWay Women In Recovery – Kim D. -  Meeting studies Big Book and 12x12, traditions 1st Wednesday of the month after business meeting.  Birthday meeting last Wednesday of the month.                                         Federal Way Friday Night Meeting – Jason K. –  Went over Pre-Conference topics.                              Federal Way Men’s Stag – Dwayne S. – Have golf Wednesday morning every week (see Dick for details)Manastash June 1st weekend filling up soon.  Wagon Wheel Campout August 10, 11, & 12th.  Fort Flagler State Park.                                                                                                                                         Auburn Stag – Gary D. – Doing Big Book study; read a paragraph, comment, then get current.                     Auburn Alkees – Dale B. – Donated $20 for transit bus signs.  Will be holding 7th tradition at Intergroup phone service dinner meeting 2nd Thur of the month.  Will be adjusting split to 30% to District.  Randy is our new secretary.  Asking for donated/recycling of coins.  Mike R. is our new Alt GSR.  Group is very interested in sponsoring a rack for District PI.                                                                                                                   Federal Way Women – Sheila C. -      Not much to report, only 3 in attendance. Usual reports done,  We will be planning our annual Clothing Swap in our next business meeting.                                                          Evergreen Breakfast Group – Michelle B. –  The Group discussed the agendas and made a decision on all 6 items.  We discussed the picnic coming up on Aug. 26th.    Decided to keep Michelle a GSR.  Discussed the split and decided to look at the spit on a monthly basis.
